The Filante SLR features some exciting technical aspects.
This model was not just designed in the aseptic confines of a wind tunnel. The approach to aerodynamics embraces the reality of the environmental, taking into account the variables of the outside world, which can be more unpredictable.
The redesign of the profiles, from the standard NACA/KAMM to a more rounded shape, improves aerodynamic performance even in challenging wind conditions.
The inside width is increased on the front forks, a significant gain of 13.6% over the Cento10PRO model, reducing turbulence and further improving aerodynamics.
With 240 different fittings between frame sizes, handlebar sizes and spacers, this model offers unprecedented customisation.

Optimised aerodynamic profiles are not only an advantage in terms of speed: they also save weight when it comes to frame construction. The design without sharp edges requires less material, and the result is a frame that weighs just 870 grams. With top-of-the-line specifications, the entire bike weighs just 6.8 kg.
The carbon used in the Filante monocoque is the same as in the Wilier 0 SLR, fused with Liquid Cristal Polymer. This combination, together with precise fibre positioning and innovative construction techniques, offers unparalleled lightness and rigidity.
The stiffness-to-weight ratio (STW) has improved by 12.5%: this means precision and safety even at high speeds.

Easy-fit spacers between the frame head tube and the handlebar, made of high-stiffness composite, allow quick assembly and disassembly without interfering with the cables.
Speed Release through axles allow quick wheel removal without completely removing the axle from the hub, saving valuable seconds in racing compared to conventional through axles.
