Specialized S-Works Venge 2020
In these seven years, the S-Works Venge has demonstrated how fundamental aerodynamics are. The S-Works Venge took a nascent concept and turned it into an ideology by demonstrating empirically that aerodynamic optimization is the most important thing to make athletes faster. Now there is the new form of speed - the 2020 Venge that embodies handling, aerodynamics and stiffness.
Driveability
Aero bikes are usually not for everyone, in the sense that they often prove to be very nervous and difficult to ride, therefore only suitable for certain routes. Specialized technicians were aware that even the "old" Venge ViAS had some of these problems and so they decided to take up the difficult challenge of working on handling and rideability. The result is a reactive and very manageable bicycle that gives its best on the plains but which also performs admirably on the mixed routes of our valleys.
Aerodynamics
Improving the aerodynamic performance of the Venge was objectively difficult.
However, thanks to the new shapes of the pipes and the cockpit it was possible to obtain a further lowering of the aerodynamic coefficient. From the studies carried out, the new S-Works Venge allows a gain of 8 seconds in 40 km compared to the previous model in frontal wind conditions, while in the case of crosswinds the improvement is even more significant.
Reactivity
The first sensation that the S-Works Venge gave us, however, was that of an incredible responsiveness, especially when standing on the pedals. It is no coincidence that the sprinters equipped by the American brand are particularly fond of them.
